Airtel Launches Microsoft-Powered 'Airtel Hosted Mail' for SMBs

Bharti Airtel Ltd. has launched a corporate mailing solution for SMBs across the country, 'Airtel Hosted Mail', powered by Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. It will offer SMBs an enterprise grade mailing solution with an inbox as big as 4 GB.

Airtel Hosted Mail will offer SMBs a wider range of communication tools than conventional email solutions, enabling them to share email messages, contacts, calendars, work folders, task list and documents from either their PC or mobile phone. Coming close on the heels of the launch of Airtel Online Desktop, this adds to Airtel's SaaS portfolio.

Airtel Hosted Mail, powered by Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, will be available in two versions:
- Pro Mail at Rs. 80 per user/month which offers an Inbox of 2 GB with an attachment limit of 10 MB, built-in anti-spam and anti-virus security along with Search service through mail content, contacts and even attachments.

- Business Mail at Rs. 220 per user/month which offers an Inbox of 4 GB with attachment limit of 20 MB, mobile and offline access, built-in anti-spam and anti-virus security along with Search service through search through mail content, contacts and even attachments.

In addition, a basic version of Airtel Hosted Mail, powered by Nivio Web Mail, will be available:
- Basic Mail at Rs. 25 per user/month, which offers an Inbox of 1 GB with attachment limit of 10 MB, built-in anti-spam and anti-virus security.
