Bharti Airtel Launches New Broadband Plans

Bharti Airtel Ltd. has launched new broadband plans, with minimum Broadband speed at 2 Mbps in its Top 10 cities and from 1 Mbps onwards for all other cities across the country.
On the new broadband plans, the minimum broadband speed that will be offered in Top 10 markets - Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune, will be 2 Mbps. For all its other markets, across its service areas in the country, the new plans offer a minimum broadband speed of 1 Mbps.
The company said its broadband users can go ahead and choose their plans that suit their high speed data usage needs starting from 3 GB right up to 150 GB. In select markets, users can double their speeds to 4 Mbps for Rs. 100/- more. The 4 Mbps plans start at Rs. 1099/-.
Girish Mehta, Chief Marketing Officer, Telemedia Services, Bharti Airtel, said, "Bharti Airtel has always taken the lead in continually bringing in richer experience and higher speeds for customers. Over the past several months we have been continually adding to our broadband service portfolio. Raising the broadband speed threshold with the new broadband plans will help enhance uptake of the array of content and rich media experience on Airtel broadband."
Airtel has introduced several innovative additions to its value added services portfolio over the past several months. These include exclusive offerings for Airtel Broadband users with content from Encyclopaedia Britannica; Learn Next, Broadband TV, Airtel Photos and Airtel Movies. The company said these introductions are in line with its efforts of offering richer broadband experience with content that cuts across all customer preferences.

Top 10 cities - 2 Mbps
- Alpha (3 GB, 6 GB plans at Rs. 649/- and Rs. 799/-)
- Max (10 GB, 30 GB, 75 GB, 150 GB plans at Rs. 999/-, Rs. 1,299/-, Rs. 1,599/-, Rs. 1,999/-)
Rest of India - 1 Mbps
- Ace (3 GB, 6 GB plans at Rs. 549/- and Rs. 699/-)
- Mega (10 GB, 30 GB, 75 GB plans at Rs. 899/-, Rs. 1,499/-, Rs. 1,999/-)
4 Mbps plans (Select markets)
- Turbo (10 GB, 30 GB, 75 GB, 150 GB plans at Rs. 1,099/-, Rs. 1399/-, Rs. 1,699/-, Rs. 2,099/-)
- All Alpha and Ace plans have Unique Bill Cap of Rs. 1,999/-
