lifecycle services to the wireless industry, today announced that its
subsidiary Brightpoint North America L.P. ("BrightPoint Americas") has
appointed Sriram "Srisu" Subrahmanyam to the position of Executive Vice
President and Chief Operations Officer of its Americas division,
effective immediately.

In this position, Subrahmanyam will be responsible for operational
executive leadership overseeing BrightPoint Americas' supply chain
operations and Information Technology organizations. He will ensure
that appropriate resources are deployed in an efficient manner with the
aim of exceeding customer expectations and ensuring BrightPoint
Americas operates in the most cost effective manner. Subrahmanyam will
report directly to J. Mark Howell, BrightPoint's President Americas.

Subrahmanyam comes to BrightPoint Americas with more than 15 years of
experience and senior leadership in the areas of supply chain,
strategic sourcing, information technology, and continuous improvement.
He is focused on optimizing the value chain, improving operational
efficiencies, and delivering competitive advantage through process
improvements, technology investments, and organizational
transformations. Before joining BrightPoint Americas, Subrahmanyam was
Principal at Orchard Group, a consulting firm focused on business
transformation. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President,
Chief Procurement Officer, and Head of Supply Chain for Career
Education Corporation, and Vice President, Continuous Improvement for
United Airlines. Srisu earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Birla
Institute of Technology and Science, India and a Ph.D. in Chemical
Engineering from Purdue University.
