Buffalo India Launches USB 3.0 PCI-Express Interface Board with 4 Ports

Buffalo Technology, a provider of networking, storage, multimedia and memory solutions, has launched its high performance PCI-Express interface board with four USB 3.0 ports. The board’s high-performance interface allows users to upgrade their PC so as to connect to next generation of external HDDs and flash drives that support USB 3.0 interface.
The company said the board offers a great solution for users to upgrade their PC for use with the super speed, high-performance USB 3.0 devices. The USB 3.0 interface increases the data transfer rates to more than ten times that of USB 2.0. This speeds up backup and transfer of photos, music, videos, documents and other important data. The faster the transfer rate the better the performance. Also, it improves the performance of other peripheral devices like scanners and media players supporting USB 3.0.
The four USB 3.0 ports enable users to connect up to four USB 3.0 devices simultaneously, reducing the need to purchase hubs for additional ports and the hassle of constantly disconnecting and reconnecting various devices’ USB cables. All four ports are backward compatible, allowing connection with the legacy USB 2.0 devices.
