Comtech Telecommunications Appoints Paul Lithgow as President of Comtech Mobile Datacom

MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech
Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that Paul
Lithgow has been appointed President of Comtech Mobile Datacom
Corporation ("CMDC"). Mr. Lithgow will also continue to serve as
President of Comtech AeroAstro Inc. ("AeroAstro"). Mr. Lithgow has over
30 years of experience in the aerospace and telecommunications
industries with leadership roles, prior to joining Comtech, at Radyne,
General Dynamics and Spectrum Astro, as well as a distinguished career
in the U.S. Air Force.

Comtech also announced that Daniel Wood, who previously served as
President of CMDC since 2005, has departed from Comtech.

In announcing these changes, Fred Kornberg, Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., said, "As
