Dialog Telekom, SriLanka's largest mobile carrier with over six million subscriber base has adopted Internet Radio service called Music Station, built on Geodesic's Mundu Radio platform for its subscribers.

March 11, 2010 /India PRwire/ -- Dialog Telekom, SriLanka's largest mobile carrier with over six million subscriber base has adopted Internet Radio service called Music Station, built on Geodesic's Mundu Radio platform for its subscribers. The Mundu Radio platform is powered to offer end to end internet radio service to consumers across mobile networks. It has a large number of licensed internet radio stations and is designed and optimised for mobile phones. It works seamlessly across 2G and 3G data networks. Dialog's subscribers can seamlessly tune into a range of exciting entertainment and information channels across the world without the need to carry an additional music device.

Currently, Music Station includes local Sinhala language content, which was delivered by Dialog's long standing partner Microimage. Microimage plays the essential role of content delivery platform for local content to provide this service as they have licensed the Radio Management Platform for this service. The service has niche genres and international content across genres such as such as Pop, Rock, Hip-hop, Jazz and much more. The technology is designed to scale seamlessly, allowing unlimited channels to be added to the offering.
