EMC Names Manoj Chugh as President of EMC India & SAARC

EMC Corp. has named Manoj Chugh as the President of EMC India and SAARC Region, effective immediately. Chugh replaces Alok Ohrie, who has resigned from EMC.
Chugh previously held the leadership role in India for five years until May 2008 when he was promoted to the newly created role of Director for Global Accounts for EMC in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). As a result of his success in working with global customers in APJ, Chugh will continue to lead Global Accounts for EMC in APJ in addition to now leading the sales and services organizations in EMC India.
In his expanded leadership role, Chugh will be responsible for accelerating EMC's growth in India, strengthening the team and enhancing EMC's relationships with partners and alliances in India. Chugh will also work closely with Sarv Saravanan, who is the leader of EMC's Center of Excellence based in Bangalore, to expand EMC's products and services capabilities in India.
Prior to joining EMC in 2003, Chugh served as the President of Cisco Systems in India and SAARC. During his 27-year career in the IT industry, Chugh has held several senior positions in sales, business development, and general management at Wipro, Scientific Atlanta and HCL Group.
