EMC Names Praveen Sahai as Iomega's Director of Sales - India & SAARC

EMC India has named Praveen Sahai as Director of Sales for Iomega Corp. in India and SAARC. Iomega is an EMC company providing innovative storage and network security solutions for small businesses, home offices, consumers and others.
In this role, Praveen is responsible for Iomega's end-to-end operations in India and the SAARC region, including pre-sales, sales, marketing and partner support functions.
Prior to his current posting, Praveen headed up the marketing and corporate affairs department, where he was responsible for spearheading strategic planning initiatives, including marketing strategy and corporate brand building, as well as developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the region.

The market for Iomega is growing exponentially in sync with information growth in the consumer and SMB space. Praveen joined EMC with a distinguished career record, having held senior positions in various multinationals and Indian corporations. At Sun Microsystems, Praveen held the position of Product Marketing Manager for South Asia, responsible for developing marketing strategies for Sun's data management group. In addition, he led a host of other marketing functions, including integrated marketing communications, channel initiatives, telemarketing and inside sales, and competitive positioning.
Praveen began his career at PowerTel Boca in sales, channels development and management of enterprise accounts. He went on to become marketing communications and alliance manager following Citrix's acquisition of PowerTel in India.
Praveen is also a regular speaker at industry forums, and currently serves on the board of directors at the SNIA India (Storage Networking Industry Association). Praveen is an active contributor to EMC's CSR programs that are focused on developing programs for children's education, and skills development for needy communities in India.
