GIGABYTE Technology Co. Ltd. announced that it is showcasing its USB 3.0 motherboards for both the Intel and AMD platforms at CeBIT 2010. On the Intel Platform, the company is demonstrating its flagship P55 motherboard, the GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD7.
GIGABYTE said the GA-P55A-UD7 delivers awesome features for power users and gaming enthusiasts including a 24 phase power design , Nvidia 3-Way SLI / ATI CrossFireX, as well as support for USB 3.0, 3x USB Power Boost (unique to GIGABYTE), and SATA 3.0 (6 Gbps).
The extreme bandwidth required for 3-Way SLI capability is made possible by an onboard Nvidia NF200 chip that allows the P55A-UD7 to deliver the ultimate in graphics performance for gaming enthusiasts who demand the highest frame rates without compromising on resolution. Additional bandwidth is provided by GIGABYTE 333 Onboard Acceleration with onboard SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gbps from NEC and Marvell, providing the P55A-UD7 with an incredible amount of graphics and data bandwidth at any given time.
In conjunction with AMD's upcoming launch of the 800 Series chipsets, GIGABYTE is also showcasing the soon to be released GA-890GPA-UD3H motherboard, featuring the AMD 890GX chipset paired with the new SB850 South Bridge, offering up native support for SATA 6 Gbps and RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. Also equipped with GIGABYTE 3x USB Power Boost and USB 3.0 support by using the NEC controller, the GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H ensures users are ready to take advantage the next wave of high speed data transfer and storage technologies.
The GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H also features the integrated ATI Radeon HD 4290 graphics core (DirectX 10.1) and 128M DDR3 sideport memory, allowing for easy overclock of the default 700 MHz GPU clock up to 1150 MHz for a 3DMark06 score of 3300 or above, which is 18% higher than the previous generation AMD 790GX chipset. The graphics potential of the board is further extended with the addition of two PCI-E 2.0 x16 graphics slots, allowing users to run ATI CrossFireX (running at x8,x8), or a single card at x16 including the next generation DirectX 11 graphics cards for some ATI Hybrid CrossFireX action, providing an enhanced level of gaming performance, productivity and platform power efficiency.
