HP Names Balu Doraisamy as MD APJ, Sr. VP for TSG

HP has named Balu Doraisamy as the Managing Director for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), and Senior Vice President for the Technology Solutions Group (TSG).
Balu succeeds Tom Iannotti who has returned to the U.S. to assume the role of Managing Director, Americas. Balu begins his new role immediately and will be based in Singapore.
Balu has more than 23 years of experience with HP, most recently as Managing Director of HP India. In that role, Balu and his team have driven key programs in India, which have accelerated growth and delivered outstanding performance for HP. HP was named the No. 1 multinational IT company in India for five consecutive years.
In his role as managing director for APJ, Balu will be responsible for continuing the focus on creating value for our customers and profitable growth together with the region leadership team.

Balu previously served as the Managing Director of Compaq Computer India Pvt Ltd, where he led Compaq India to the No. 1 IT vendor position in the domestic market.
Before this assignment, he was based in Singapore for 9 years where he managed the Asia Pacific Global Accounts business in Digital and Compaq. Balu joined Digital Equipment Corp., USA, in 1984 as Senior Technology Consultant, based at Nashua, NH.
