Karbonn Mobiles has introduced its Karbonn Smart Tab 1 tablet running on the Android 4.1 'Jelly Bean' platform. The tablet incorporates the ultra low-power MIPS-Based JZ4770 SoC from Ingenic Semiconductor as its running core and leverages the simplicity and elegance of the MIPS architecture, resulting in features like extremely low power consumption, fast 1.2 GHz performance and a high level of functional integration.
Targeted at technology enthusiasts in India who wish to experience the latest from the Android eco-system (Android 4.1 Jelly Bean), the Karbonn Smart Tab 1 can be pre-booked at the Karbonn Web site. Existing Karbonn Smart Tab 1 users can upgrade their pre-loaded Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) platform to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) platform for free.
