LG Introduces its Full HD 3D Cinema Projector, the LG CF3D in India

LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. has introduced its first Full HD 3D Cinema projector, the LG CF3D, targeted at hard core home cinema buffs, high-end gamers and technology enthusiasts.
The LG CF3D, the first single lens Full HD 3D projector, offers excellent 3D picture quality with the convenience of a single box set, with no cross talk effect and no cardboard effect. It makes one’s home a complete 3D theater, as it has a display of full HD 1080 P (1920 x 1080).
The LG CF3D is based on SXRD (LCoS) technology, which provides best features of both LCD and DLP in the form of high contrast for solid blacks and rendering natural colors. The 3D system uses two projectors combined with only one lens, delivering perfect brightness and contrast ratio and 3D auto picture calibration. It also saves energy and there is no need to align it separately.
Employing the same 3D polarized-light technology, which is used in movie theaters, LG said the CF3D offers all the thrills of the 3D cinema experience in the comfort of home. Users can enjoy long hours of flicker free 3D experience in the comfort of their home with lightweight polarized glasses.

On a projection that has 0.61’LCoS, LG said the CF3D has a brightness rating of 2500 ANSI-lumens and a 30000:1 contrast ratio to produce superb pictures. In addition, thanks to the TruMotion 120Hz, the CF3D practically eliminates blurring from even the fastest sequences, helping produce the sharpest possible images for regular 2D content as well.
The LG CF3D comes with a built-in camera with auto calibration function, which automatically adjusts the brightness levels of both images to maximize 3D effects.
With multiple connectivity options for Blu-ray DVD player, gaming console, digital set-top box, PC; the projector offers a number of entertainment options. On the business and R&D front, this 3D projector can be used for graphic design and modeling, in simulators, terrain modeling for Geographical Information Systems, cinema editing and preview, etc.
Priced at Rs. 8 lakhs, the LG CF3D projector is available with all leading AV SI partners in India.
