Micro Focus Acquires Compuware's Testing & ASQ Business for $80mn

Micro Focus International Plc, a provider of enterprise application management and modernization solutions, announced that it has completed the acquisition of Compuware Corp.'s Application Testing/Automated Software Quality business (Testing and ASQ Business) for $80 million.
Micro Focus said the products within the Compuware Testing and ASQ Business are highly complementary to its core Application Management and Modernization solutions. As part of its strategy review, the management of Micro Focus identified the ASQ market as a logically adjacent area to extend its Application Management footprint.
As previously announced by Micro Focus, it is intended that the Compuware Testing and ASQ Business will now be fully integrated into the Micro Focus Group. With the completion of this transaction, about 300 employees transitioned to Micro Focus.

Compuware and Micro Focus said they will continue to collaborate to ensure that customers receive uninterrupted service and obtain the full value of both companies' product capabilities.
