SparkLAN Launches 802.11n 450 Mbps Dual-Band Concurrent AP (AR7161/ 680 MHz)

Taipei, Taiwan, January 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- SparkLAN Communications, Inc., a broadband wireless networking solution provider, introduces a Wireless 11n Dual-Band Concurrent Access Point that is suitable for SMB or Enterprise-scale Wi-Fi deployment.
SparkLAN WAPA-205N(P) is an 802.11an+gn Dual-Band Concurrent MIMO AP development board that is embedded with Atheros AR7161/ 680MHz CPU, and Atheros AR9220 (Dual-Band) and AR9223 (Single-Band) chipsets. With 802.11n chipsets’ capability of reaching 450Mbps, the AP is suitable for performing multimedia triple-play services, such as voice, video, and data.
Powered up by either Power Adapter or an integrated IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE), the WAPA-205N(P) can be deployed effortless in various environments at a reduced cost. In addition, by incorporating with advanced security encryption, such as 64/128-bits WEP, WPA, and WPA2, the AP helps to prevent users’ devices from malicious attacks.
SparkLAN WAPA-205N(P), based on Atheros AR7161 CPU, can be tailored for specific application and requirements. Common applications include high performance Access Point, and Gigabit Router or Gateway. With a USB port on board, the developers has the flexibility to design solutions supporting printing and VoIP applications.
