Spice Launches Spice D-1111 Dual Mode Windows Mobile Phone in India

Spice Mobiles has launched the Spice D-1111, India's first dual mode (GSM+CDMA) Windows mobile phone. The Spice D-1111 combines work and fun with interesting VAS applications like Nimbuzz, Reuters, Mitr and Opera Mini, and at the same time, it relieves its users from carrying two separate phones for work and personal requirements.

The Spice D-1111 is based on the Windows Mobile 6.0 platform and is a contemporary, smart and revolutionary gadget that promises exceptional quality and usability. Fueling further fun and excitement is the Spice D-1111's 2 MP camera, stereo Bluetooth and expandable memory up to 2 GB so one can capture and cherish life actively.

Users can also check their mails by a single touch via the push mail feature and enjoy the convenience of checking their mails on the go with Outlook on the Spice D-1111. The touch panel is an added advantage which makes this gadget a lot easier and cool to operate.

Spice Mobiles said the D-1111 is a comprehensive blend of fun features including embedded Nimbuzz using which one can login for multiple chat accounts in a single window like Yahoo!, MSN, Gtalk, etc. at the same time and it allows users to stay in touch with their friends, chat and make fun and party plans on the move.

The handset also features MITR, a single interface application for entire mobile WAP browsing experience featuring, Sulekha that helps users access the world with a click where they can do everything including locating travel services, home services and food joints. The phone also has other applications like cricbuzz.com for live cricket updates, naukri.com for job related searches and jeevansaathi.com for matrimony. Users can also download other applications on the mitr platform.

The phone comes packed with an enterprise application Email2SMS service. This feature allows users to read their complete emails on the move as SMS without having to activate GPRS or download any software. Spice Mobiles is offering one month free subscription of the Emails2SMS service on the D-1111. Also, key features like of Reuters and Opera Mini come preloaded in the handset.
