Swipe Telecom Launches Range of Tablet PCs in India, Including First 3D Tablet

Swipe Telecom, a technology start-up headquartered in California and backed by Mantra Venture, has launched a range of tablet PCs in India, addressing latent as well as pent up demand for tablet PCs in urban, semi-urban and rural India. The company introduced the first 3D tablet PC in India the Swipe 3D LIFE.
The company said the Swipe 3D LIFE, targeted at kids and youth, provides a breathtaking experience of 3D gaming and 3D videos for its users and runs on the Android 4.03 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It boasts of a 7" TFT five point touch capacitive screen with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution. The 3D LIFE is powered by a 1.5 GHz A13 Cortex processor, 4 GB internal memory and a 512 MB DD RAM. The tablet can play videos for 5-6 hours at stretch with its 3400mAH battery. The 3D LIFE has a 2 MP front camera that supports video calling and is priced at Rs. 5,999/-.
Swipe said the Swipe TabX78 Float series, which is targeted at executives and business professionals, is India's slimmest and lightest Tablet weighing 295 gm with 8.5 mm thickness. The TabX78 has Hindi Language Support and is priced at Rs. 6,999/-.
The Swipe HALO TabX74S is a 7" smartphone tablet with SIM functionality for calling and browsing Internet. It features a touchscreen with 5-point touch that runs on Android 4.03 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1 GB DDR III RAM, 4 GB inbuilt memory with front and back cameras and Bluetooth. The TabX74S is priced at Rs. 9,999/-.
