TCS Names S. Ramadorai as Vice Chairman, N. Chandrasekaran as CEO, MD

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced that its Board of Directors has named S. Ramadorai as an additional director of the Board and the Vice-Chairman of the company in a non-executive capacity with effect from October 6, 2009.
Ramadorai, the present Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director will retire from his executive and board position on October 5, 2009 on reaching the retirement age of 65 years as per the company's policy.
The company's Board of Directors has named N. Chandrasekaran, the present Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director, as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company with effect from October 6, 2009.
