Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has opened a new Global Delivery Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the first company to officially inaugurate its facilities in the new Technology District of the City of Buenos Aires.
The company said that with continued growth across Latin America, the opening of the new center represents the expansion of its Global Network Delivery Model (GNDM), recognized as the benchmark of excellence in software development globally.
With more than 10,000 square meters, TCS will initially employ about 250 professionals at the new center. Located in the Parque de los Patricios neighborhood of Buenos Aires, the center will provide consulting, advanced IT solutions, Business Processes Outsourcing (BPO) services and IT product implementations. In addition, the center will house the company's first regional SAP Center of Excellence.
"We are proud to be the first company to open its doors in the new technology district of Buenos Aires. Our growing presence in Latin America continues to be of strategic importance to our overall business growth and we remain committed to working in close collaboration with institutions and universities to help foster the development of local talent in Argentina and provide our customers with the world-class IT solutions from this location," said S. Ramadorai, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services.
"Since TCS established operations in Argentina in 2002, the company already works with many leading local, regional and multinational companies across various industries, including technology, finance, banking, airline and retail. The new center will further integrate Argentina into the company's global delivery network and provide our customers here with an unparalleled experience of certainty," said Gabriel Rozman, Head of Emerging Markets, Tata Consultancy Services.
The Buenos Aires Global Delivery Center has state-of-the-art technology that connects to the company's global network, advanced security features, proprietary and third-party data center capabilities to establish BPO services. In addition, the center provides dedicated areas for employee engagement.
TCS said the opening of this new center expands its presence in Latin America. This is the eight Global Delivery Center following the recent announcement of TCS opening in Queretaro Mexico, in addition to centers available in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico with a CMMi5 level, the highest standard in the industry. This is also the third Global Service Center for BPO in Latin America in addition to the TCS facilities in Chile and Uruguay.
