TIM Brasil Selects Amdocs for Transformation Project
India PRwire
2011-02-24

Amdocs solution will speed time to market for new service and reduce operating expenses for major Brazilian mobile operator

February 24, 2011 /India PRwire/ -- Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that TIM Brasil, one of the leading mobile operators in Brazil, has selected products from Amdocs' Customer Experience System (CES) 8 portfolio - including Order Management, Service Management, Resource Manager and Enterprise Product Catalog - to provide the foundation for its "B/OSS" transformation initiative supporting its next-generation network.

The Amdocs solution bridges BSS and OSS to unify customer ordering, provisioning processes and activation across multiple channels and lines of business. Amdocs will enable TIM Brasil to consolidate two separate operational environments (resulting from TIM Brasil's acquisition of Intelig) into a single platform supporting a complete order-to-activation process and providing visibility across all its services and network resources.

In addition, the Amdocs system will provide a centralized product information repository across all TIM Brasil services and network planning capabilities to optimize capacity utilization on its nationwide network.

"The Amdocs CES 8 solution will enable us to strengthen our competitive position in the dynamic Brazilian market by giving customers the services they want, as quickly as they want them," said Luigi Cardone, chief technology officer for TIM Brasil. "By simplifying, modernizing and consolidating our platform under our strategic B/OSS initiative, we will be able to significantly reduce operating costs while supporting our transition to a next-generation network that can handle increased volumes of data traffic."
