NSK Ltd. (TOKYO:6471)(NSK) hosted an opening ceremony for Shenyang NSK Precision Co., Ltd., a precision machinery plant producing ball screws and linear guides, and Shenyang NSK Co., Ltd., the first plant outside of Japan producing large-sized bearings, on May 28, 2012 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China.

Dignitaries from China's central government, the province of Liaoning, and Shenyang city, and corporate customers from Japan, the United States and Europe attended the ceremony. "Within just two and a half years from the groundbreaking ceremony of Shenyang NSK Precision Co., Ltd in October 2009, we have completed two newly equipped factories," Norio Otsuka, the President and CEO of NSK noted. "With this achievement, we can produce top level high-performance products using leading manufacturing techniques and production technology for China's growing industrial machinery market."

NSK has expanded production with new facilities for Shenyang NSK Precision Co., Ltd., and Shenyang NSK Co., Ltd. in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, which the Chinese government has been intensively developing. This will allow NSK to provide products in a timely manner and in response to the demand driven by the rapid expansion in China.

NSK is the world's only company to manufacture and develop industrial machinery bearings and precision parts. By increasing sales in the industrial machinery business based on the growing demand for heavy industry in China, and expanding business in China based around the growth of the automotive business, NSK has set a goal to double sales in China to over twice the current amount to 200 billion yen by 2016.
