Award for Safety Excellence (GASE) honored at the PA Governor's Occupational
Safety & Health Conference in Hershey, PA on October 19-20, 2009.
The purpose of the GASE award is to recognize organizations with outstanding

application in June 2009 that was reviewed by the WorkSAFE PA Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board chose 15 semi-finalists for additional review from the
approximately 100 applicants. GASE recipients were notified at the end of
September of their accomplishment.
"We are proud to be a recipient of this award," said Edward J. Sheehan Jr.,

commitment of employees and management to ensure that the CTCworkplace is safe.
This award recognizes the efforts of our employees to ensure continuous
improvement in our safety program."
At CTC, employee involvement includes activities such as safety walkthroughs of
work areas, promotion of "off-the-job" safety, and the development of an
automated, online system for employees to report safety concerns and
suggestions.
Several members of CTC's Safety Committee and Company Executive Management Team
attended the Conference to receive the award. Also in attendance with CTC were
invited guests State Senator John Wozniak, State Representative Bryan Barbin,
and Vice President of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, Gene
