Quanmax Inc. has introduced its new residential terminal, the HPC-1000. This 10.1-inch fanless panel PC is based on the low power Intel Atom N270 processor and Intel 945GSE/ICH7-M chipset for high computing performance and the greatest energy-saving.

Following the e-lifestyle concept, the HPC-1000 can be used to control lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) devices centrally and automatically.

The HPC-1000 is stylish and can be fit into any modern interior design. It is an all-in-one controller with 5-wire resistive touchscreen and 10.1-inch WSVGA monitor. The large display offers the full screen navigation and increases the overall readability.

Storage includes a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or a solid-state drive (SSD) and a CompactFlash socket. For household security, the HPC-1000 is built-in 2W speakers and has the optional 1.3 MP webcam for real-time voice and face recognition. The optional MIFARE compliant RFID reader is also available to support sophisticated security applications.

The terminal is also equipped with a full range of I/O features including four USB 2.0 ports, one DVI-I interface, one serial port and one DB9 port for 4 digital in/out. The company said needs for activating required home automation functions immediately can also be met by a Gigabit Ethernet port and optional Wi-Fi connection.

The HPC-1000 is designed to meet the most demanding home automation requirements. It focuses on simplicity and easy access to the various features. This system is compliant with CE, FCC class B and available now.
