Wavecrest Computing recently released new versions of its
CyBlock Web-use filtering solutions. New features include
bandwidth management, coaching, and additional custom
filtering and reporting capabilities.
Melbourne, FL, May 15, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wavecrest Computing, a
recognized leader in policy-based Web-use management solutions since
1996, announced new features to their business web filters -- CyBlock
Proxy v6.7 and CyBlock for ISA / TMG v6.7. Wavecrest Computing's CEO,
Dennis McCabe states that the majority of these added features are a
direct result of feedback received from their current customers. He
also indicated that "dynamically filtering employee Web access,
decreasing or avoiding bandwidth costs, and maximizing network speed
are core concerns for our customers." Specifically, the addition of
bandwidth management, enhanced URL filtering, and coaching features
were added to help customers more efficiently manage Internet usage and
achieve improved workforce and network productivity.
New enhancement highlights:
-- Coaching - Allows authenticated/authorized users the option to override
CyBlock's blocking function reducing the amount of user requests for
policy exceptions.
-- Categorization Enhancements - More Web visits are now categorized due to
URL path and parameter matching. This approach goes considerably beyond
traditional domain-only matching, providing more robust filtering and
reporting.
-- Bandwidth Management - Limits lower priority Web traffic during periods
of high bandwidth consumption to allow unimpaired availability for
business-critical operations.
