to be the exclusive registry for the new ".WEB" generic top level
domain (gTLD), which is part of the first wave of the newly-expanded
universe of domain names being considered by ICANN (Internet
Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).

the internet and not constrained by narrower definitions, such as .INFO
or .ORG. Virtually any entity that aspires to be on the internet would
be a prospective applicant for a .WEB domain name, and it is expected
to be particularly attractive to those who were not able to obtain a
.COM extension for their use.
