ASUS Introduces A8R32-MVP Deluxe Motherboard
IT News Online Staff
2006-03-02

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. has introduced the A8R32-MVP Deluxe motherboard, which is based on the ATI CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset to support AMD's Socket 939 Opteron and Athlon 64 X2 processors.

The motherboard adopts intelligent overclocking features that enable 60% and 35% overclocking of Hyper Transport and PCI Express, respectively.

The A8R32-MVP Deluxe is created with the enthusiast and tweaker community in mind. It offers ways to raise system performance inch-by-inch and step-by-step to achieve maximum performance, that includes voltage adjustments in DIMM, core, Northbridge and Stepless Frequency Selection. The company said that along with independent voltage adjustment for the Northbridge, the A8R32-MVP Deluxe gives user maximum flexibility and full control for the absolute precision tuning.

The motherboard also supports the all-new memory-tuning technology, AI Clock Skew, which improves the memory overclocking capability and provides users with the fastest computing speed possible. The AI Clock Skew automatically skews the memory clock signal timing to improve memory overclocking ability by 10% to 15% without strenuous fine-tuning procedure, allowing highest memory frequency to achieve the desired performance.

The PCI Express Graphics (PEG) Link feature enables users to boost graphics card performance for superior video quality. PEG Link allows users to raise GPU and VGA memory throughput via the motherboard BIOS the same way system bus and memory bus are tweaked. PEG Link Mode enables powerful video performance on DX8 and DX9 applications. ASUS said its engineers have carefully fine-tuned the parameters for every single PCI-Express card to provide system stability during high-speed graphics operation.

ATI's CrossFire boosts image quality along with rendering speed, eliminating the need to crank down screen resolutions to get high image quality. CrossFire ignites with the higher antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, shading and texture settings you desire. ATI's Catalyst Control Center lets you adjust your display configurations, experiment with your advanced 3D settings and check the effect with a real-time 3D-rendered preview.

ASUS' Stack Cool 2 is a fan-less and zero-noise cooling solution that effectively transfers heat generated by the critical components to the other side of the specially designed PCB (printed circuit board) for effective heat dissipation. Combined with the low power consumption design that operates Northbridge and Southbridge at 8W and 6W, respectively, the chipsets stay cool at low temperature virtually at all times.

The A8R32-MVP Deluxe supports dual PCI Express x16 slots running at full speed to liberate graphics cards through ATI's CrossFire Xpress 3200. The motherboard includes AI Life Series features such as Precision Tweaker, AI NOS and PEG Link etc. For easy overclocking, the board also comes with Q-Fan2 and Stack Cool2 to ensure quiet yet efficient cooling.

ASUS said that with innovative designs that bring out the real potential of the new chipset, gamers can experience faster graphics performance and higher video quality today, and be ready for video technology advancements of tomorrow.
