HP Introduces 17 New Imaging & Printing Products in Asia Pacific

HP has introduced 17 new Imaging and Printing products, including 2 Color LaserJet and 2 Monochrome LaserJet Printers, 5 LaserJet All-In-Ones Printers, 3 OfficeJet Printers and 4 ScanJets designed to meet the needs of businesses across Asia Pacific.
The products are optimized for the large number of organizations in the region looking at deriving cost and productivity benefits by adopting In-house Marketing solutions and multi-function products.
HP, which according to IDC has a 53% market share in the color laser market in Asia Pacific excluding Japan, is looking to enhance its leading position in the region with the introduction of this new range of imaging and printing products. In the monochrome laser market in this region, HP has a market share that is five times more than the nearest competitor.
"HP's latest laser printer and laser All-in-Ones offerings deliver small and medium businesses printing and imaging resources at price and productivity levels that were traditionally only associated with large companies," said Margaret Ong, Vice President, HP Business Imaging and Printing Group, Asia Pacific/Japan. "The latest suite of LaserJet, OfficeJet and Scanner products will enhance HP's leadership by delivering proven business solutions that these customers are demanding across Asia Pacific."
The company said the new products represent a continued focus on designing business printing solutions that meet the needs of a diverse, worldwide customer base. The new introduction includes an expanded line up of HP imaging and printing solutions as well as new services and software to enrich the overall printing experience.
HP has announced a suite of LaserJet Printers and LaserJet All-in-Ones Printers, some of which have been designed with customers from Asian markets such as China and India in mind. HP's new suite of imaging and printing products also includes a range of new Office Jet printers and Scanjet scanners which are optimized to meet the needs of customers in the region. HP's printers, new ColorSphere toners, Vivera inks and paper are designed to work together to provide outstanding quality, performance and efficiency.

HP latest range of products comes as an entire suite of solutions, complete with the backing of software, online resources, HP's in-house marketing media/papers and ColorSphere toners. HP in-house marketing solution includes:

The HP Color LaserJet 1600 Printer is an entry-level, desktop color laser printer designed with HP ColorSphere toner for small businesses. Priced at $2992 and available May 1, 2006.
The HP Color LaserJet 2605 Printer Series are the first single function color laser printers to have photo memory card slots and include HP ColorSphere toner. Priced from $4992 and available June 1, 2006.
The HP LaserJet 5200 Printer Series is its first wide format, A3 printer series with Instant-On Technology, which virtually eliminates warm up time so the first page comes out fast. Supported by Easy Printer Care 1.5, priced from $1,4392 and available May 1, 2006.
The HP LaserJet 5200L Printer delivers value and performance with wide-format (tabloid/A3) laser printing. Complete with features that enhance productivity for dependable printing such as fast print speeds, flexible connectivity options, and professional print quality, the printer is designed to meet the needs of businesses in the Asia Pacific region. The printer is available in Asia Pacific starting May 2006.
The HP LaserJet 3050 All-in-One is a compact printer, scanner, copier and fax solution with fast printing speeds of up to 19 ppm. Priced at $2992 and available March 1, 2006.
The HP LaserJet 3052 and 3055 All-in-Ones (AiO) are flatbed all-in-ones with full office functionality for small work teams with moderate volumes. Priced at $399/$4992 and available March 1, 2006.
The HP LaserJet 3390 and 3392 All-in-Ones (AiO) are high performance, desktop laser all-in-ones with fast print speeds and versatile features for small work teams. Priced at $699/$8992 and available March 1, 2006.
The HP Officejet Pro K850 Series materializes the ease of the do-it-yourself (DIY) concept and puts the creative control back into the hands of SOHOs, and micro and small businesses to design and print high quality brochures, flyers and other marketing materials in-house for less. The printer is available in Asia Pacific starting April 2006, with specific country pricing.

HP also announced that it has enhanced its Universal Print Driver Series for Windows. The HP Universal Print Driver, a single driver replacement for all of HP's PCL5 and Postscript printers, simplifies driver management and end-user printing. The product has been updated with new features, including support for Postscript Level 3; user, printer and job status; supplies notification and a wider variety of supported printers.
