ASUS has launched the A626 ultra-slim PDA to meet the increasing demand of users who require a highly practical yet versatile PDA. The company said this palm-sized PDA matches high quality with an impeccable standard of design and caters to the user's expectations for personal handheld accessories.
Exceptionally slim at 1.57 cm and weighing less than 158g in weight, ASUS said the A626 stands out from most of the other PDAs on the market. The PDA has a stainless steel casing and a 3.5" anti-glare touch screen.
With its wireless capability (Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g), the A626 can keep the user connected to email, the Internet and corporate networks; while Bluetooth 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate speeds up data exchange with a huge range of digital peripherals (phones, printers, etc.) by up to two to three times over conventional Bluetooth standards.
Featuring ASUS' user-friendly application "Remote Presenter", the PDA can also be easily used to remotely link and control presentations on a computer via Bluetooth. All data is stored in Flash memory, so information remains saved even if all battery power in the handheld has drained away.
The ASUS A626 runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0, and also provides true multimedia entertainment options. With its front-mounted speakers, it plays video and audio formats (WMV, WMA, MP3, etc.) and has a library of games available for the Pocket PC platform.
