Watchfire has opened applications for its Fired Up Scholarship, a $1,000 award recognizing a graduating senior who creates standout content for a Watchfire sports videoboard. Part of the company's TrailBlazers program, the scholarship celebrates student creativity and technical skill in live-event production. DANVILLE, Ill., Nov. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Watchfire, the leading manufacturer of digital scoreboards and video displays, has announced that applications are now open for its annual Fired Up Scholarship, part of the company's national TrailBlazers program designed to help schools integrate video scoreboards and Ignite Sports gametime software into classroom learning.

The Fired Up Scholarship honors a graduating high school senior who demonstrates creativity, school spirit, and technical excellence in producing content for a Watchfire sports display during a live event. The scholarship recipient will receive $1,000 toward educational expenses.

Students may submit any type of original content, such as animations, graphics, crowd prompts, advertisements, or video series, that showcases how they use their school scoreboard to fire up fans, players, and the community.

As part of Watchfire's TrailBlazers initiative, the scholarship reinforces the company's commitment to making videoboards more than just game-day tools. Through free curriculum resources, training videos, and teacher guides, the Trailblazers program helps schools turn their scoreboards into hands-on best learning opportunities for students exploring AV, marketing, and digital media.

Qualifying content must be created and displayed on a Watchfire sports videoboard between January 1, 2025, and March 1, 2026. Applications are due April 3, 2026, and the recipient will be notified in May 2026.
